I’ll blog a little more tomorrow, had a busy weekend of some personally-deserved R&R. Boat races, seeing some old people, all will be discussed soon.
Quickly however, I just had a read through the Alastair Darling interview in GQ, and while I couldn’t disagree with him more economically or as a Chancellor, I thought he came off incredibly well. He seemed relaxed, and lighthearted, yet noble and assured; it was a rare read for a political interview of this nature.
I’m always in two minds about the Piers Morgans interviews in GQ, sometimes his style and voice works well with a potential interviewee, but then others he seems like a dilettante. His Gordon Brown interview for ITV was a joke, and I wasn’t expecting anything more substantial for our current Chancellor, but I was indeed pleasantly surprised.
